INNER’s Director, Salvatore Basile, participated in the mission to Tunisia organised by CIHEAM Bari on the developments of the Bio Territoires project in Tunisia, in particular that of Haouaria.
On the morning of 22 June, together with Dr. Alberto Dragotta and Patrizia Pugliese of CIHEAM Bari, Salvatore Basile travelled to Haouaria where, on the occasion of the ‘Festival de l’épervier’, which was very popular with local communities, a promotional day was held. After visiting the exhibition stands set up by the local operators, they moved to the meeting room of the Club des Fauconniers Haouaria. The morning continued with the exchange of experiences and good practices of the five Tunisian bio-territories and the Basile speech on the good prospects for the development of the bio-territories, also in view of the 20-year experience with the Cilento Bio-District, which the project participants had got to know during their visit to Italy last January. For lunch the participants moved to an agritourism, where in the afternoon a meeting with the group promoting the Bio-Territoire of Haouaria also took place.
